Autumnal Woodland Wedding Styled Shoot
Are you considering a wedding in autumn or perhaps a bold bohemian inspired style instead? We created a styled shoot to show you just how you can have the bold autumn wedding of your dreams.
This shoot was based around our then newly built gazebo which is in a truly intimate location, surrounded by trees aptly called the “Woodlands”. If you’re a fan of the outdoors then you’re going to love this space! It features wood tones and green leaves the summer.
In autumn the changing of the leaves are so stunning that we were inspired by the golden and auburn tones of the leaves. The area is enchanting and there are so many things to be inspired by to create a wedding design. It offers the perfect backdrop for any garden wedding with its natural beauty and snippets of rolling hills through the trees.
In keeping with the feeling of relaxation the area gave us, we took the design in a slightly bohemian direction. This led us to incorporate bolder and darker colours, using gold, burgundy and black with the white and blush creating a warmer colour palette.
We staged a relaxed ceremony in front of the gazebo using it as an altar to frame the couple and rustic benches for seating. The frame was decorated asymmetrically with wild and dried flower arrangements and it was everything we had dreamed of! All of the flowers used had a range of tones and textures and the bouquet had been tied with a trailing gold velvet ribbon. Simply stunning!
After the ceremony, comes cocktail hour and what better way to kick off the celebration than with a Prosecco cart where you could ‘pimp your Prosecco’ by using a variety of flavourings. The cart was subtly decorated and placed with the changing trees as a backdrop. As a side note this cart also offers beer on tap! How incredible is that and after dinner it can be turned into a coffee cart as well.
We enjoyed our cocktails and head to the dinner. On a nice day in the UK, you could sit outdoors for your wedding breakfast and we did just that. We used rustic wooden tables and chairs which suited the area perfectly! Small potted arrangements with lightly coloured flowers adorned the table with candles intermingling to add another level and some warmth to the table. The tableware added the bolder colours to the design in the form of black trimmed plates, black and amber glassware, gold napkins and gold cutlery. The stationery was the final touch, a mixture of dark card and translucent vellum with a sprig. Perfection!
All of this beauty with thanks to the team:
